When is enough-enough?

Jackson and I are struggling to say the least... 3 weeks ago I had to have my fuel pump replaced in my Jimmy-to the tune of $481.50. Ouch! Not quite in a single-moms budget! Monday evening-I noticed it running different (not alot of power and a strong sulfur smell). Tuesday morning I dropped Jackson off at Debs, and left my car there as well.. It had "died" 6 times from our house to hers... Thankfully she has let me use her car. Now-I am looking at another $500 in repairs. What?! I have only had this 2001 for 1 year! I take good care of it, regular oil changes, gas tank always above half, drive like a grandma... What else? I am quite down about this latest turn of events, but I also need to focus on the more positives... Jackson and I are safe, healthy and for the most part-happy. It could be much worse.

Tonight I am attending a visitation for a dear friend. She was killed in a car accident Monday morning on her way to school. Bless her heart-she was only 17. She worked for my family in our little restaurant, was the first person (outside of family) to watch Jackson, and just a genuine girl. She was the most beautiful girl, inside and out. Please pray for her family. She has younger brothers who are beyond devastated-she was their 2nd momma. And her parents are barely hanging on. When I told Jackson that Mikyla wa sin Heaven. He had just said his prayer and he asked God to watch over "Kyla". Then he looked at me and said "I'm going to have to go get her. She shouldnt be with Dod yet." I tried my best to explain why he couldn't. And I told him he couldn't leave his mommy. He said " Well, then I will take you with me." Wow-talk about a hard one for mommy to talk about. He is only 3. My little Bless his heart boy.

Jackson and I's dog Callie-had puppies 10/5. She had 7 total. She has kept 2. We are not sure what happened-they just passed away one by one. Sad, but thankful for the 2 healthy (very well-nourished) pups. Jackson so enjoys taking care of them, holding them and can't wait to play with them.

So, again-it is a dreary day, things are tough... But I have to count my blessings and thank God for what we do have.

Amber,
Keep your chin up. I know how it feels when those unexpected expenses turn up especially at times when they are the last thing you need.
Hang in there and remember just how blessed you are. Jackson has a beautiful way of reminding you each day to celebrate the little things and don't let the bad things drag you down.
I'm here if you need me!
Always in our many thoughts and prayers,
Stefenie, Ryan, Wyatt and Logan Jacks
